i would like to know if anybody has used or is using the reef dynamics bio pellet reactor and can share some input on how they like it i am considering purchasing one and would appreciate any info i can get.

i like the fact that you can control the flow of water going out into your sump and not stop the rotation of the bio pellets as for the other cheap ones is not flow for all. how long have you had it and have you tried other brands before this one?

Yes, I tried different ones. I love this because you can slow or speed up the output into the sump like you mentioned, this way you dont strip everything from the tank. I have a lot of lps so 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates arent good, tanks has to be a bit dirty.

thats exactly why i was thinking this one instead of some others thanks for your input frank. anybody else running one that can share their likes or not on it?

I also own one of the Reef Dynamics BPS 1000
As explained to me by Jeff > the bio pellets are machine they run full speed at all time , they don't know when to speed up or slow down . This is why there is a valve on the return line that need to go into the skimmer. Also you have another valve on the pump to adjust the tumble of the pellets . You can build a manifold to go into the input of the skimmer or they can make one for you.
