My skimmer has been overflowing recently. i think it is because the pump stops sucking air and water is pushed into the collection cup until it overflows.
I have cleaned the pump and checked for obstructions but i cant seem to get it back to normal.
that problem aside i have been meaning to drill my collection cup and add an emergency overflow hole to drain it back to the tank (or when fixed possibly a collection jug).
I was wondering if anyone has done simple project like this before and what they used to do it. I was thinking of adding an elbow like i see on some skimmers but cant find one that will seal.
Any ideas?
