what should the ph number be coming right out of the calc reactor before it goes into the sump and what number should it be in the tank

#1 to melt the media inside the reactor u need around 6.5-6.7 PH, depend how many CO2 bubble u set up (40-60 b/min. etc.)
#2 the PH outside the reactor ,depend the water flow (around 50-75 ml/min.) + CO2 B/min. + if u got 2 Chambers (better) mean less CO2 back in u tank, means better PH in main tank.
#3 if u got 7.9 to 8.2 PH in the tank u good.

Mike the effluent PH will vary between 6.4 - 6.8 depending on the cal/alk demands of the tank and can be controlled by the bubble count as well as the drip rate. I keep a steady stream so the tube doesn't clog. If you need to have a lower PH than 6.4 to meet the demand then you may need a bigger reactor, dose, or add kalk. The tank PH can also vary between 7.8 -8.3 I never noticed a difference when my tank is within that range.
