white dots on my glass

hello all and merry Xmas, i have white dots all over the back glass of tank and on live rock does anyone know what it is .........

..are they a little larger in size than the head of a pin? White? You can almost see a swirl pattern to them?


The are spiroid worms ..yes, worms, and are very common in new tanks.
Their population will ebb & flow for a while and eventually they will vanish from the glass but will remain on the rocks. It is safe to scrape them off the glass.

I say they are calcium deposits

they are white hard dots no swirls and they do not move i ask a local fish store they said it might be corraline Algae and it turns purple i hope its that

Never saw corraline Algae go from white to any color. When it turns white it is dying.
It is either eggs or those tiny feather duster worms.
