Water change question

My nitrates have spiked id like to do 2 50 gallon water changes in one day, I've done 1 already this morning. Is it really bad to do 2 or three in one day? 120 reef tank

Jets eliminated Miami....in a dismal season like 2013, what more could we have hoped for today?

As for 2-50g water changes, what is your system total volume?

Keep in mind, in nature the water on a reef probably changes dozens of times per day, at 100% each time.

Virtually all beneficial bacteria resides on your rock and sand, not in the water column. I've never had a problem with excessive water changes in a day, as you're proposing.

As long as you match the parameters of the water ...shouldn't be a problem. I know people that have done 100% water change with no ill effect....
