Evap will depend on relative humidity, temp (if fans blow across the surface of the water in order to help control temps), surface agitation, surface area of the water, and other factors. My 36 gallon evaps at least 1qrt per day; sometimes as much as 1/2 gallon.

+1," Evap will depend on relative humidity ",yes very true, i evap. 1 gal./day 150 gal Tank + 60 gal. sump, i run Air-O-Swiss 7135 Humidifier, still to dry 27%, if u keep 45%to 50% is good.
In my case, i got the tank on basement floor , to close to steam furnace, i may need one more humidifier.
Every tank is dif. depend on size and relative humidity in room.

Evaporation also depends on surface agitation. It is important in the DT, but should be slower through the fuge/sump area.
