There is no in reef cure for ich. Must remove infected fish to qt tank for hypo salinity or copper treatment or just feed the fish well and tank parameters good and hope they get over it. Most tank have ich but the fish just fight it off if healthy.

If Kick Ich worked everyone would be raving about it. As long as the fish are eating and water quality is good fish stand a chance. Started using Dr G's medicated food, not a cure all but seems to help.

I used a combination of products when my hippo got a bad case of it. Luckily none of my other fish caught it and the fish was already healthy. She'd been in the tank 2-3 months. There was no way I could have caught her without tearing apart the whole tank and risking stress to all the other fish, so I treated the DT. Here is what I used/did:

No-Ich
Microbe-lift Herbtana
Ich Attack
Probiotic Marine formula

I also sucked up the top 12" of substrate and cleaned it thoroughly in tap water boiled it, and returned it to the tank every couple of days while the infestation was at it's worse.

I'm having a problem again and will try Dr. G's. I'm also adding Vitamin C directly to the water.

I don't know if last time I just got lucky or this stuff actually works. Most people say it doesn't. All I can say is last time I tried it and the fish made it after a very bad case of it. I started the same regimen last tuesday and today I'm seeing a huge improvement. My neon goby is mostly free of it, the firefish has stopped scrapping and my maroon is looking better, but he's in the worst shape of all. Good thing is that they are all eating. I think it's the chemicals. They have garlic which stimulates their hunger. Make sure they eat well and feed a variety of healthy foods. Best thing for them is to keep up their energy and immune systems.
