After being in this hobby for over a decade now, and even having lost thousands of $$$ in tank crashes while distracted with other things (deaths in family, career, brokeness, lovelife):banghead:, power outages :banghead: (ie, the big 48hr black out of what was it, 2002?) and cross country moves, I still honestly think I've spent/wasted way more on cars and landscaping/gardening, despite those also being equal- if not greater- passions thank reefing.

What about you, is your tank a money pit?

My tank is a money pit, but man do I enjoy looking at it everyday :) I quit the hookers and blow so I have to spend it somewhere ;)

It is and it isn't. You ever watch Pumpkin Chunking ? You learn from your mistakes and others. And try not to make the same mistake twice. Prepare for the worse and don't put in what you can not afford to lose.
