How much did you pay for the most expensive fish or coral you bought so far. Please tells what you bought. Other question what is your Max amount you would spend on a rare fish or coral you wanted. Example $100 to 1,000s on fish or coral. :grouphug: If their is a limit for you.

Coral wise a 2 eye jellybean chalice from WWC $500. Fish wise a fresh water, Red dragon flowerhorn bought from thailand, so including transhipping and regular shipping it came to 600.

I would pay up to 3000 for an Asian arowanna if they are legal in the states.

say that to the dudes that got the last batch of peppermint angels

There should be a thread titled "peppermint angel buyers, where are they now"

Hearing few stories like this sometimes makes me want to spend more because no where am I close of spending that amount. So hearing this makes you feel good or not. Some people have no limits I see.

i usually feel guilty if i spend more than 50- on anything. I have spent more on many purchases though. 200- was the most and was for an angel fish from spotter before he broke his tank down and moved to SC. I still have the fish going on 9 or 10 months and its doing very well (so far)

I'm pretty sure most of the peppermints are still going since the guys who bought them are mostly well known and capable. There was a rumor that 1 person had lost theirs but I don't think the guy who made the claim ever proved he had one.

i was told of a store who can get red or gold arowana....don't think it's legal though.

for me it was a couple of polyps of zoa... that came with zoa spiders that wipe out my whole zoa collection in the grow out tank....probably a couple of grands worth. yes i dipped the zoa's but perhaps the eggs lived???

a harem of 5 rhomboids wrasses which i lost when i nuked the tank a couple of years ago.

Our most expensive fish and pair to date, but I'm already working on topping this.

Actually 3 of them died within the first two weeks. Two of them provided pictures from start to finish and both confirmed the third one that died. The rest of them are going along fine from what everyone knows.
