245 gal tank from Great Lakes Aquarium

Does anybody own tank from GLA , they from Warren MI. I'm thinking about ordering 245 gal(72L/30W/26H ) and I was just wonder how you like their tanks, how is the quality , etc

After all the upgrades I want it , wich are : starphire front glass, black silicone, bigger 1800 g/h 3 hole overflow, clear cross bracing and painted black background ---- it will coast about $1650

Is that shipped? There is a 300g RR for sale on here no with stand and canopy for $1400.

Yes , I love the 300 gal , but in my case 36" deep will not work. I know it's only 6 " difference -- I wish my living room was bigger

Also glass cages does local drop offs (they will be in NJ this weekend but you'd have to order today). Although I have heard mixed reviews.

Either way can't wait to see it!

Glass cages is hit or miss. I was happy with my tank but it was inwall so I didn't really care about the attention to the seams other than it holding water. Sloppy it was but it did the job. They do have poor communication in my opinion which is why I preferred they not drill my tank when I ordered. Heard of too many horror stories with overflow holes drilled in the wrong location and incorrect size etc...

You might also consider Mark (reefomania) He does very nice work and his seams are perfect. He is located in Brooklyn.

I have one of his tanks as well as other members (Dace, Jackson6745 and Psuedo to name a few) and I would definitely order from him again.

As a follow up you might also want to try reef central for reviews on GLA. If it were my $'s I'd prefer to stay local only because if there are any issues they can be handled fairly quickly

How is he price wise (reefomania )? - money is always a concern , the one I like : 245 gal (72L/30D/26H) from GLA will work perfectly in my case , that's way I'm really interested in any opinions about their tanks .

For whatever I could check on reef central, there was nothing bad I could find about GLA .
Everybody seems to like their aquariums

Or maybe I have to be the first one on MR to buy the tank form GLA and than report back to you guys how I like it ))
