okay lets start with this...

What size is this tank?

what size is your overflow pipe/s?

what kind of filter sock are you using?

what skimmer are you running?

do you have baffles in your sump?

this is all i can think of at the moment.....

you have 4 filter socks at use at a time in your sump?

also i would get rid of the seaclown and tunze and get a real skimmer ;)..

the only thing i can think of is dietrus coming out of your rock work or that is sitting on your sand bed.

If the tank is 6 months old it should have settled by now. If you have a sand stirrer you will always see these particulates in the water column.

I was having the same issues.
It was a combination of a few things for me.
I have a sand sifting goby that was putting the particles up in the air. (I love him too much to get rid of him)
And one of my power heads was throwing micro bubbles into the tank.
And the same power head was close to my overflow and didn't allow the particles to make it into the overflow and get caught by the filter sock.

I'd suggest to make sure that there is no powerhead or wave maker pushing particles away from the overflow.

The goby will do his thing forever but after a while the particles will be gone and only sand remain.

And make sure it's not any malfunctioning powerhead/wave maker

Also make sure your sump is set up to catch all of that stuff
