Away too much,Vinegar, few pounds of Bacteria.

around 3 months back, one of my timer, never STOP, dosing 1l of Vinegar, on 150 Gal. tank, take a lot of work to remove Bacteria.I have to remove all rocks.

What a mess, but certainly one that we can learn from. Do you know how low your PH level was from this vinegar overdose? Did you lose SPS or any other corals? Did you scrub rocks or just change them out?

Yes, i change all rocks, some i give free, the nice one i keep it, i will clean on summer,PH was 7.6 , i lost nothing, i find the next day,milky water, jump and put 2 air pumps, even the Protein Skimmer got clogged, i do 50 % water change, for few days, than 25% every day. After this mess, i start dosing Vodka, i have to stop dosing, Bacteria recover very fast ( i mean the big white, rose slime) i run Rowa for now, this is the second time when timer fall, one year ago, i got Alk. dosing , Hanna not even show a #, i think was 300 blinking, in that time i got 2 tanks , i move all corals , i lost few , all was frags. In few weeks i will go back on Biopellets.:smile:
