So I'm getting this deep red/burgandy algae on my live rock, none on the sand bed just the rock and I'm noticing it's starting to spread a bit more. Also noticed its gets a bit fuzzy after lights being on for a few hours and dies down to the point you can't see it during lights off. No slime or anything like that.
I also have some coraline algae growing and my corals are doing great so I know my water condition are good.
Was thinking of leaving the lights off for a complete day or 2 and seeing how it affects it but I don't know good that is for the corals...any advise?
ps. I'm already running chemi-pure and purigen.
