Ok im thinking of placing my chiller outside the house. Drilling a hole through the house for the PVC and then housing it inside a room that i will byuild for it. When i say room I mean something big enough to basically fit the chiller and thats it
Please LMK what you guys think of this
TIA

Your better off supplying the chiller with a separate Iwaki 30 that turns on when your chiller turns on. (this can be done with an aqua controller, aquatronic or reefkeeper) Why waste the tremendous head pressure to run the flow through the chiller year round especially if it is 20+ feet away.

in the restaurant we have a rubbermaid toolshed with a lock on it so the suppliers can drop their stuff off. Never a problem with rain shine or snow. Cheap and effective!!

yeah that would work where could I pick one up from ?
As for the 20 foot thing, My tank is against the wall that it will be running through to the outside so if I make it so that its 4 feet off the ground it would probaly lose less head then if I had it on the floor outside the stand like I planed on doing

Hey Nick,
Built the small box, room, whatever you call it for the chiller. Insulate the room with the 1" foam board and install a vent fan that will turn on whenever the chiller runs. This will allow the chiller to vent, lower humidity and foam insulation will keep it from getting too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.
