bleaching rocks

If I was to place my rocks in a 90 gallon tank and add bleach would it take the copper out of the rocks? I would leave the rocks in the tank with just water and bleach for 3-5 days. Let the rocks dry for another 3-5 days. Then place rocks in rodi water for 3 days. Let them dry. Place them in water again for 3-5 days. Should/Would they be good after all this?

Bleach kills organisms not metals. The best you can do is soak the rock in ro/di water with bi monthly changes and test the waste water for sights of copper.

if you know the rock is contaminated with copper, i would toss it and get new rock.

moratic acid sp ?, this will peal a layer of the rock off. do a google search,

get new rock is your best bet ...... Why Chance it or even bother . You can sell it as fish only tank rock.
