HEy guys,
Just wondering who actually scubas here. Maybe we could set up a winter trip to the carribean to do 5 days of diving. So we could study what we do in the wild. Post up if there is any interest. Also post up if you want to get certified i have a few friends who are instructors and own a dive shop who could help you guys out. I am sure there could be something setup for a discount if there is enough interest. I know you guys love fish and reefs. but there is nothing better then seeing it in nature. It will grow your passion for this hobby even more.

I'm certified and working on getting my instructor cert now, but it'll be awhile before I finish it. I would be down for possibly taking a trip, but if anyone is interested in doing some shore diving here I'm always down. I love the local diving here.

Their is a place in hoboken nj that does is its right by the path train. Its called Hoboken Dive center. They are really good guys. Just google them up and give them a call they can take care of you. The only thing you have to buy to scuba dive is a mask fins booties and a snorkal. Everything else is fairly easy to rent. They have a trip in november to bonaire Its a week long trip they have all the details. They are great guys.

i am not certified but i dove with the sharks in the bahamas and i dove in rotan which was awesome

Scuba network in Manhattan-NAUI -I learned there and did my open water dives in the Red Sea!

Village Divers on E4th b/w 1st and 2nd Street are the only dive shop in the area (as far as I know) that dive locally. Most of us there are technical divers and are constantly training and advancing our certification levels. Great group of guys, great divers.

Im interested in getting certified...I live 5 min away from you.... also I if I do get certified I plan if anything to go and take a trip to miami and dive there....

You should check out hoboken dive center they do a great job and they are close by.
