Buyers Regret

I bought a torch coral yesterday from a LFS. I wanted a Gold Aussie Torch but I guess I didn't look at it in the store at all. I asked if they had one they said "Yes" now I got it home and it's not what I wanted.
I'm gonna try calling today I hope I can get a credit it's my fault stinks.

Having a nano stinks sometimes one coral takes up a lot of real estate.

Anyone else ever have a situation like this?

I constantly buy things thinking they will fit only too realize they won't. Especially when they come on a rock. Buying small frags are really the only option unless you break out a hammer and chisel.

I think i have buyers regret everytime i buy something because the next day i always find something as nice or nicer that i want to buy ! Or it just doesnt fit and then i make a mess if my tank trying to make it fit

Happened to me once b4 I wanted a gold wall hammer and jumped on what I thought was a even better color and under my lights it's not what I was wanting , looks great but takes up too much space once open.

Euphilyia are notorious for looking one way then another under different lighting.

Same happened to me. Looked like a gold wall hammer in the shop, but under my lights looks more purple. Still a nice looking coral, just not what I wanted.

any coral that is under led will not look the same under mh or t5 unless running a really blue bulb

I usually don't have problems with corals looking different. My wife likes the torch so I guess it's staying. I didn't even bother to call to see if I can get a credit there a good store/vendor so I'm sure I could have.

I can see the gold in there verry little but its there , its either bleached or stressed or your lighting is way off , what kind of lights and tank size ?

lightings good, i have a purple torch and electric green hammer in my biocube under a kessil and they have great color, im thinking you just got a semi bleached/stressed torch, hopefully it will color back up soon ! keep your paramaters in check and it should be back to normal in no time because it definetly has the color on it still just not much of it

yes thats what you have , in the picture i can see at least 2 tentacles that still have that vibrant color on them , and of course keeep in mind that second picture is definetly taken under all actinics, your lights seem to be very white, try to dim them down a little and let it recover and if you can put some pure actinic over it and see if the color comes out

i can see it alot more in that picture, its your lighting for sure, not that its a bad thing just very white so the colors dont pop much or at all

Maybe I'll add a 445nm blue 12" stunner strip

that will definetly help, and then if you want you can set that one up on a seperate plug/time and have it come on first and turn off after the main lights and you will get to see the colors really pop under the actinics

I have that already I have two controllers one for the lights the other is an apex. The apex can't dim ecoxotic LEDs.
