How do I stop my over flow box water level to stay steady right now it gets high then drops low every couple of seconds sounds like a toilet flushing I was told to drill the top of the over flow pipe work is this it
Yes you need to get the air hole size correct. You can also use a piece of airline tubing in the hole and push it in / pull it out until it gets more constant.
Can you take a pic of the overflow pipe that goes to your sump and post it here. It sounds like you need a hole but i would like to see it before i tell you where to put the hole.
There's not enough air to let the flow through. Drill a series of VERY small holes in the cap until you get it to equalize. After each hole give it a couple of minutes to equalize. If it's still fluctuating drill another. I like doing multiple little ones so If you drill one too many you can just dab a little silicone in the last one and you'll be good to go.
