First was custom 1:1 bridgelux 3w 155watt.

I didnt like the ratio as it was more of a 10k to 12k look and didnt perform as well as I would hope but I didnt give it much time as it was used from early stages of my tank (1-3mo.)

I swapped over to reefbuilders value fixture w/no optics. I immediately saw coral reaction with more PE and zoas more open. I am taking steps and wanted my zoa collection first.

I started my sps collection about a month ago and I noted that my reds in my red planet and strawberry shortcake were vanishing and turning more green. I had an unknown acro and green milli with great PE so I felt like going more specific to wants and found the issue above.

I know besides lighting, the main issue is water parameter. I have tested with all parameters in check so I suspect my LEDs as others have noted this.

anyone else with LEDs can confirm a drop in REDS? please note the value fixtures do contain red leds and purples.

Yes they are among the fullest spectrum LED fixtures available. I am not going to get into a which LED is the best, or are LEDs the equal of or better than T-5 or MH discussion because there are plenty of theses threads around and they general lead nowhere positive because the truth is awesome reefs can kept using all of them and their is no "best".

Here is Sanjay's side by side data for several of the highest regarded LED fixtures. You can look at the plots and decide for yourself.
