acclimating corals

what is the best way to acclimate corals to my LED lights? I'm thinking
1. float bag of coral in water to match temperature
2. place coral in some sort of dip to make sure they are clear of any parasites or whatever
3. place corals wherever in tank with lights off
after step 3 I am loss

3. I made this on a Mag Float and start the coral out at the bottom and over a week I slowly move it up to the hight of were I think it will eventually be.....No Rush

Always in Qt tank after above mention. Never care above the lighting. More interested in no pest.

so how long in a qt? and what lighting would I use while in qt?

ideally mat h the lighting but not always possible due financial aspect. i need to qt corals. ive been crazy lucky qnd need to do it
