What does everybody use? I just acclimate water, temp and light but acropora cannot stand to be in my tank! Lps-no problem,,,sps birds nest, chalice, pocilipora, stylopora- no problem,, ACRO- skin peeled right off one when I moved a power head and another is slowly turning white. There were also something in each which is why I'm considering dipping now,,a worm or something that shoots out spider webs from his little hole and some type of bugs I can't see except for 2 little antlers ,,, basically what should I use?

Coral Rx i use all the time no problem. Looks like RTN from what you say, also those are vermented snails. try to glue them in there hole, they irritate other things around them cause they use the web to catch food.

someone please correct me if im wrong.

also what is your Param levels? cal , alk, mag? PH?

API is not one of the best test kits. there are allot of faulty problems with them IMO, try to get a better test kit for you ALK MAG CAL, salifert and hanna test kits are very good. and 100% better readings for your water specs.

always you want to DIP anything before you put it in the tank. inless stated else wise on the bottle.

well. when coral skin peels off right away theres something wrong in the tank. i am not sure if coral dip will help. i use coral rx for every coral i get just to make sure i can kill the pest as best as i can.

12dkh seems too high(aim for 8ish). alk shock can cause rtn of sps.
invest in better test kits other than api. acro are very sensitive to po4 in my experience.

bring ur water to a lfs. they might have more accurate kit if u dont want to invest the $ yet.

I'll def get a better kit, and the bio cube has been running for almost 2 years without any other loss. I started with a 14 that I learned a lot from my mistakes so that 29 is SOLID,, the reason why I moved on to sps is because I thought a 120 I set up was fine but there's so much more to know so I rescued these coral and built a shelf out of eggcrate so I could keep the sps closer to the lights. Could they be to close to the lights on a biocube? Roughly 5 or 6 inches from tops of coral to lights?
