is it possible for a mushroom to melt? I'm asking cause I recently received/bought(same thing) a mushroom. I placed it on the bottom of a rock on the bottom. For the last 2-3 days as I look at him it seems like he is getting smaller and smaller. Its like he is melting or something. Could my lights possibly be too strong for him? I am running 4 FATHOM led lights. White light is on approx 4-5 hours

No I am not adding anything. Nitrates are between 20-40. Phosphates are higher than I would like them. Getting ready to start using gfo(rowaphos or Phosban) and some carbon. Gonna start my prodibio bio-digest and bio-optim today. All my other corals that I have seem to be doing fine except this mushroom

Shrooms shrink when disturbed. They should bounce back as soon as they are acclimated to the tank conditions. If your killing shrooms its time to step back as find the reason why. They survive just about anything. I just left a green specked one on the counter for an hour and its still wet and plump.
