Hey everyone, wrapping up my 120 build. I'm getting ready to order an ATO. Its looking like I'm going to go with the tunze osmilator. I wanted to know if there is anything else.out there that is as reliable and cheaper?
Tunze Osmolator is excellent yes pricey but is very accurate. I've had mine for about 6-7 months and love it. Just be aware of the break in process for the optical eye that senses the water level. It may develop micro bubbles on it for the first week until a slime coat gets on it. The micro bubbles with cause it to think water is low and turn on and trip the over level alarm.
I also like the smart ato. It's cheaper and more efficient then tunze if you ask me. It's also cheaper. The little pump that comes with it is so strong. Only drawback is the annoying alarm
I have had an tunze unit for well over three years and still perfect. Had an autotoppoff.com unit and was good for about a year and then got hung up. I would recommend the Tunze.
I'm going to throw another contender into this list and say Elos Osmocontroller. Have had mine almost two years (bought it used) and still works great.
