So I had to replace my stand bc of warping issues. This gave me the opportunity to redo some of my rock work and put corals in different places. So just sharing some pics (via iPhone which doesn't work so well with LED lighting). Enjoy

Nice tank, and even nicer clowns. Where is the new pic of the stand? What kind are they?

Deep Blue actually replaced the stand free of charge which was nice of them. They said I should have any more issues with the newer version. Stand looks almost exactly the same except the carbon fiber area looks darker.

Thank you on the clowns!

didn't mean to sound desperate when I said there wasn't any comments...lol
Just saw over 90 views and was just scratching my head.

Nice! That blue looking piece on the sanded to the left of the rics looks sweet. What is it? Do you have a closer pic of it.

Thats very good to know that Deep Blue did that. I also have a newly purchased DB tank and stand. But I didn't send in the warranty card. I figured those things are a waste. I'm the kinda guy that never believes in warranty. lol

Gen 1 radions with the TIR lens update.

Hey, what are the dimensions on your tank? And how high is the Radion mounted? I have a Gen1 Radion as well in a 65g (36") and I don't get that good spread on the corners. Mostly because the light is mounted in the canopy and is about 7" from the water line. I was thinking of getting the regular TIR lens or perhaps the 120 degree TIR lens, but was concerned that the light spread will also spill out the front of the tank (not a big deal), but I'm trying to figure out if the lens upgrade will help.

Thanks.

It's actually the 57gallon rimless from deep blue. Can't remember the dimensions at the moment but I'll get back to u on it. I believe I have the lights 10 inches above the water line. Also I have the regular tir lenses. I noticed a brighter increased once I switched over.

Would you share how you changed the stand. It had to involve a lot of work and planing. I am thinking about upgrading from 29g to 57 Deep Blue rimless and I start to plan the whole process.

It wasn't too terrible. What I did was first make extra salt water in 2x 5gallon buckets with powerheads and heaters just in case I needed extra water. Then I went to homedepot and bought the 54 gallon rubber maid and a 20 gallon rubber maid. I then started to transfer the water from the tank to the 54 gallon rubber maid and the rock as well with carefully placing the coral to the a certain side. Also I had a heater and power head in there as well. Then the sand and the rest of the water in the 20 gallon rubber maid. Undid the plumbing removed the sump and basically had to other people help me with picking up the tank and then putting the new stand right underneath. Then the daunting task of putting everything back into the tank. Hope that helps.
