Don't worry! It's more closely related to Fox Coral than Candy Cane coral :tongue1:

Jon, it does look more like a candy cane, but that's because it has a branching growth pattern. Just think of it as a branching form of fox coral. At least, that's what I gathered from the article.

This is a Plerogyra discus Jon:

"It was not common, and was found blending almost perfectly with Nemenzophyllia. We also saw this coral being collected and sold, not surprisingly, as Fox coral."
