So I called over the manager and asked him about the fish ,he told me someone just gave it to them last nite ,I told him really and you took him knowing very well that you not equipped to house such a fish..
And they were selling him for $139.99
So I told him here I'll give you $50 for him
Even though I have a 400 gallon it's still bit to small for him but at least it's better than a 55gallon
His new home for now!

Good that you found him. Out of curiosity how big of a tank do they need when they're fully grown?

U weren't worried about placing him in your tank without QT after he'd been confined in that small space?

The orbital can do fine in a 300-500 gallon if it's the only one
The pinitus batfish need even bigger ,I believe they can get 3ft from top fin to bottom
Did take a big chance not qt him ,didn't have anything big enough ..all though he came into the store last nite so he wasn't their long plus was solo in the tank
Looked him over to see if I spotted anything out of the ordinary didnt notice anything, plus he took a silver side out of my hand which was surprising considering he just came in plus was in such a small tank..
Just gonna have to keep an eye out next few weeks on him and my other fish

I work for petland discounts. Would like to know what store this was, because those tanks are killing me. Also I can assure you that, that fish was more than likely dropped off. And since he took 50$ for it, he knew very well that he wasn't equipped to handle such a fish. All in all good job, I just wish people would stop dropping fish off, because they certainly wouldn't do it with a cat or dog so what makes fish different. Good job! :)

PS. A 46$ koko worm?

Yea absolutely it was dropped off,was told that the person wanted to go in a different direction and change over into a reef tank so the batfish had to go..
But me personally would of donated to an aquarium or at the very least found a pet-store capable of housing such a fish..
