First I would like to say thanks to the organizers of the swap for another great event. I was lucky enough to win the ESV salt at the raffle and couldn't be happier.Secondly, I would like to mention hitchhikers and biodiversity. I do dip corals before they enter my system (no room for quarantine unfortunately). I completely understand and appreciate the need to dip to remove pests and know the risks of getting unwanted hitchhikers. However, when we create reef tanks using dry rock and then sanitize as much as possible when adding to our systems, I believe we loose some of the biodiversity that makes looking at our living reefs interesting. I always find it exciting to see something in my tank that I didn't know that I had (hopefully not a pest). Even after dipping the frags that I picked up at the swap, I still ended up adding at least one stomatella and a hole bunch of asterina star hitchhikers. I am not complaining. I have 2 Harlequin shrimp, so the free food is appreciated, and anytime I can add to the diversity of the snails in my cuc it's always a good thing.

Thanks again.
