buy two clip on fans on Amazon for about $12 each.
remove the metal grill becaue its going to rust in 6 months anyway.
Mount one fan on top of tank or within canopy.
Mount one fan in the stand.
Your tank will drop by 2 to 3 degrees.

It also depends how much money you have invested in corals. A chiller will give you peace of mind.

Absolutely! matter of fact VIO has his chiller outside and made an enclosure to protect it from the weather and all the plumbing goes thru the wall..I have a vent from mine going to the window with a washing machine/dryer exhaust vent and it works for me

Do the chillers come read to vent or u have to Jerry rig it ?
Outside would be nice but then u have too pump all that way to and from chiller added big pump etc
I'm thinking about venting my sump closet possibly running one in there for summer but not sure what to do yet also wondering if I could run one of those windowless AC in my sump closet and running flex too a basement window

I built this with three 150mm noctua fans, so far it works great and these fans are dead silent. I also installed a thermostat on my AC unit in my apartment that I can monitor and control remotely so I can always kick the AC in if need be.

Thank you for this! I had just seen a kickstarter for one that required an IR air conditioner. This one will even work with my 220V ac unit!!

Yeah the new kickstarter one isn't as good as this one. With the one I showed you, you can monitor and control very easily with your iPhone and it's a lot less expensive. Their customer service is awesome as well!!

When I leave work for my commute home I just turn it on and the apt is nice and cool by the time I reach. Supposedly they are going to add geofencing (if not already) so that it will activate the plug automatically depending on location.
If you can monitor your tank temp then you can easily switch this outlet on and off from anywhere. I'm sure some creative people can come up with good uses for it.
