I'm running biopellets on my 220 and it appears to be running low nutrient finally after a yr of battling hair algae cyano etc !!!

So my question is can I assume the my po4 is low enough if my sand bed stays clean my glass only needs cleaning every 4-5 days and no nuisance algae except little bubble algae

Yes you can assume that but when it comes to biopellets the way it works is it removes nitrates and phospate in a proportion. I don't remember the exact number but it's like 20ppm of nitrates to 1ppm of phos. So if you sand bed is taking care of the nitrates then po4 will be higher. Also keep in mind if you had high po4 to begin with, some of it may still reside in the rocks and will leach out in time. Don't forget by adding fish food and coral food you are also adding back nutrients to the tank. As an example I stoped using pellets because there were untraceable nitrates and po4 just kept on rising so I went back to gfo and a refugium to grow pods for hard to keep fish with nit and pos kept in check.
