Run the 250 watt in the middle and the 400 watts in the two corners so you have light coverage. There is probably a huge dark area in the middle of the tank if the 250s are at opposite corners of the tank.

There won't be dark spots if he run 2 to 4 t5s. Most likely he will have t5s running 10 hours and the meh running 4 to 5 hours

To be honest it's not the look I'm happy with the 250s tank looks like it's getting enough light in my eyes middle not dark at all and only gonna put softies ime they do fine with very little light

No t5 just 2 400w 20 k radium and an blue led strip which I gotta make eventually

Good luck with the new look. I had 3 400 watt over my 270 gallon tank (72' L x 36" W x 24" H) at one time and it was very bright!

So how long are you going to run the MHs for if no t5 for supplements?

Jmo you might be happier with some t5 bulbs with the halides. I think your corals will be as well. If it were me I would run the blue LEDs fir 2 hours hour in the morning and hour at the end of cycle. T5s for 10 hours and mh for 4 or 5. I think you will like it alot better then just the blue LEDs. Jmo though

Duke yes I definitely agree and I might get to adding them down the road have a list a mile long of things I want for tank gotta do it little by little unfortunately
