Which do you suggest for a reef tank mh or led lights?

I would go with LEDs, simply looks better, and I have had no issues with growth with them either.

MH 400 w or LEDs + T5
MH is much easy to control, is much safe than LEDs, produce lots of heat , u will need chiller. Not cheap way.
LEDS is not that easy to set for SPS, i burn lots of frags by the time, i got the right light fix. + T5 ( ATI) i think is even better than MH, corals show nicer color. Not sure what LED light u will buy but mine is DIY.

Halide. Led's suck. I have seen some nice led tanks but never one better looking than a halide tank period. I don't use a chiller and I am running dual 400w and 8 t5's. Fan blows on tank and keeps it cool at 80. I have had every lighting system made except plasma. Led has a long way to go to get my vote

Yea mine are 250 watts and 2 t5 blue atinics light

go with halides. i run 3x250w and so far hasn't gone up more than 2deg with central air.
but the temp of the room is a different story, stays warmer then the other rooms.
