Coral Banded Shrimp

Hi there,

Questions about CBS. Someone mentioned bad things about these shrimps...though I don't know what. Any experience w/them?

From my exp so far, they are pretty aggressive. Casualty list includes Blood Shrimp, Peppermint Shrimp, and even a Tiger Pistol.

BTW - noticed all my yellow polyps are gone. Could it be the CBS?

Some are more aggressive than others. Just like with many other invertebrates and with many fish, your mileage may vary. Not sure if they would dine on polyps.

Oh no...I didn't until last night!

Fortunately, I think it's a matter of time b4 the CBS takes them (2) out. I saw him grab one by the whiskers and drag him along yesterday. The pep managed to escape by losing a whisker.

As for losing the yellow polyps...what else can it be? In terms of inverts, I have hermit crabs, snails, and the CBS. Could it be the six-line wrasse?

my CBS is the most friendly of them all ...i have 2 pepper mint , i fire an the coral banded shrimp .....an i never had problems ....the best bet is to get them small

Pepps will sometimes much on polyps.
