Beat up fish

How do I get this fish healthy? Just bought a whole set up with a few beat up fish. They have been in tank for months with prior owner but still look broke.

hlle takes a while esp on tangs. keep water as clean with nitrates low and no GAC. good luck.

If the tangs are scarred up from being bullied, can they recover?

I've seen some tangs that didn't look too great but the owners told me that's the way they've looked for years...

I had a few yellow tangs with HLLE, unsure if that is exactly what it is from the pic.

Granted the yellows I had only had mild cases of it that went away in a week or so.

Just try to make sure you keep the water quality pristine, and keep him well fed. Best scenario would be to move it to a large QT system. my .02
