Mag 9.5

Mag 9.5 not working I changed the impeller still not working, what can it be, it stopped working originality because the impeller shaft just broke in half. So I got a new impeller but still not working.
What can it be???

I have a mag 5 that do the same thing I tap it on the side and it starts back up it only acts up when I unplug it. So try that and see wat happens

The reason for not starting might be the same one as for the broken shaft.

Do the walls where the shaft/magnet assembly reside looked scored to you? Does the pump propeller turn easily by hand after you assemble it? Could the cover assembly be misaligned? Or more importantly, is the hole in the cover assembly which accepts the shaft be damaged, or worn in such a way that the magnet around the shaft is rubbing the wall? Also, I believe the shaft requires a rubber cap at both ends. Still have two?
