I have a pair Onyx that I pair up over 3 years ago. Both of them were laying eggs in my 90 gal. I wanted to breed them but was never able to get to the eggs.I pick up Lardi clownfish so I place Onyx's in a 20 gal. Because Onyx we're tearing up Lardi clownfish. Almost one year later they never laid eggs again. I had to pick up a few fish because I lost a few to velvet. So using 20 for a QT. Now two weeks later my blackcap just got signs of velvet so I had to add copper to QT tank. Almost a week since I added safe copper. Today I just noticed over 200 eggs in the middle back glass. Just my luck that I just added copper to tank. If this would of happen a week ago I wouldn't of put copper in this tank. Now I guest it will be food. So hopeful in two months I remove copper and give them they tank back. I m sure copper will damage eggs.
