Cyano helped my elegance open

I had gotten a small (3"x1") elegance coral that never opened yet i never gave up on his introverted a** and planted his cone into the sandbed. I took some live rock out of my sump and put it in my display tank a few weeks ago for a coral I was gonna put in the back. The new rock must've killed some of my flow because I ended up with a mat of cyano. I have been very busy and planned on getting the cyano out over the weekend but when I went to do it the mat had surrounded the elegance coral and now it's open! 3 days now it's open,,it's been closed since I got it 3 months ago..I almost wanna keep it in there now!

so my baby elegance likes a lower flow,,yet this will inconvenience me greatly, kids... (I use rodi watetr and change the filters as soon as the meter is reading 001 every 6 months, use tank water to melt the cubes of PE mysis and cyclopeeze, dont over feed, skim, its gotta be the lights and low flow. I've heard of the ocean having matts of cyano and it doesnt look that bad on the black sand... )
