Total aquarium?

I recently purchased a liquor store in lynbrook. Taking up all my time. 10% off for any and all mr members this summer.

I noticed a place called total aquariums. I haven't had a chance to go in and check them out. Has anyone had experience with the place? Surprised I haven't heard of them here or maybe I just didn't notice. It's on sunrise highway east of Atlantic ave in lynbrook.

Its a pretty nice store. Before AV carried LRS I used to go there. There livestock always looked very healthy and tanks were always clean. Lots of staff too. If it weren't out of the way for me I'd go more often.

They are expensive on some items and cheap on others. They don't carry much equipment or any medication. I needed an antibiotic and all they had was microlift herbal crap. Their frag racks are always empty but they do have nice colonies.

There fish seem healthy and look good. They don't overstock their tanks so there fish aren't beat up and stressed out. If fish look like crap they get moved to the macro tank or the back. Even though their prices are high the fish are in good shape. They also have a nice selection of medium and larger fish. They also have a buy 3 fish or coral get 1 free.

Someone posted a thread the other day about stores not testing some aspects of the water. They test everything for free. Nitrates, calcium, alkalinity and everything else.

As for the staff they are alright. I was there with my 5 year old niece and one of the people there wouldn't let her use the bathroom. I asked someone else and they said it was fine. That kind of annoyed me. I live 2 minutes away so I am there all the time. They used to be by a deli down the block.

My liquor store is west of total aquariums. Mcbreen is east of total. I'm at the corner of Atlantic and sunrise. Lynbrook wine & liquor.

After the feed back I'm actually interested in going in now.

Why not check it out. It costs nothing and a 2 min walk away. You can also check out parrots of the world. It's on sunrise in Rockville centere.

I went there today. It's really nice. It's a small store but their display tanks are very clean. They have good prices as well. The frag selection isn't huge. There's two tall frag tanks with quality frags.

If they have something you want they will frag for you. I buy my frozen food there. But they dont carrie norie witch i find stange. That is a staple for saltwarer fish.

the store is relatively new. was looking at real estate for the area and it used to be a tanning place a few years ago. I wish i had time to focus on the hobby. my tanks are just barely surviving right now.

The store moved a few years ago. They used to be located a few blocks down. The current owner owned the store since 2004. Before it became an aquatic store only they used to sell snakes, hamsters and other animals.

i wish i had frags to give away. lol my tank is half surviving barely. all my chalices made it though. no more sps. surprisingly my ponape that was completely dead all of a sudden is growing tips. so i guess its making a comeback.
