54W bulbs are almost 48" long, 36" T5 HO bulbs are 39 Watts.

The best T5 actinic supplement I have seen are from UV Lighting(old URI), still not as good as VHO T12 from them.

You saw my tank when you first came in, it had only the UV Lighting T5 actinics on only. and it is powered by an Icecap ballast so that should give you an idea of what it'll look like, assuming you remember what it looked like

dave

you can use any #watt bulbs as long as you don't pass 464 total wattage.

if i'm not mistaken i have seen 36" (39,60,85 and 110w bulbs).
