Why didn't you keep that thresher? Aren't they good to eat?

It got to the point where we were catching one or several per day. They just started schooling so thick in our area that It lost the "sport". We killed our share of them, and they are good eating. I just lost the need to beat on my chest at the dock with a big shark hanging
Most of the time the big ones end up tasting poorly because they cook in the sun. A shark 150-200lbs is small enough that I am able to ice it properly?. much better eating.



On these trips I am limited to 6 guys. I would love to take everyone but I am unable to. There are some guys that have been waiting to go for a while, and this is Tony's thread/idea I'll work on putting something together, must be very soon since these sharks will leave the area at any time.

I would be more than happy to take guys from the site out to go shark fishing (release only), but the problem is I am chartered every weekend and can't neglect my customers or their money . If you are free during a weekday I can put something together with a few other members that I know are interested. Everyone can split the fuel and bait costs, I have all the gear. I have no interest in being a vendor on the site and I am not making money on a free charter just to make things clear lol I just want to share the amazing things I get to see from time to time and have a few laughs with coral geeks like me haha

I would be into any kind of trip and also doing a charter for a party I have coming up in September. I will PM you my number.

Tony, I actually made a shark trip on tuesday to be sure that the thresher sharks are still here, unfortunately we didn't see one or get a bite. If something changes I'll let you know but it seems like we just missed the bite. We get this run every year sometime between late june and early july and it only lasts a couple of weeks before they move off.

Rich , I would like to go fishing as well! For anything that taste good .
I can make it durning the weekdays ,

I dive , I've been with dozens of sand tigers in the water and a stringers of flounder down in the Carolina's , the little ones come after you untill you surface .
And I've been down in Florida with bags if lobster and had 400lb groupers try to take the bags!
I heard about these cage trips years ago, when there were more sightings with great whites.
