I am so sorry for your loss man. I remember when I was a newbie, and didn't have an ATO, I would cut off the return pump before vacation for a week, just leave the WP40 in my 90 and come back and just turn the return on and pump all that standing sump water in my tank and nothing bad happened, fish and corals and shrimp were all alive.

It always happen this way.. I've had it happen numerous times.. I got so depressed! Just let the tank sit. Do water changes, slowly get back into it.. Sorry man.. Unfortunately it's common in this hobby
