Live rock

Ok mr fam I need Ur help I had some l/r and in water for over 2 months now and decide I want to clean them before putting them in my new tank. In side that same tank I have live sand for all most 6 months wats the best way to clean the rocks and how long would it take to be clean? I was doing some reading on it and it say to use bleach.

if your trying to kill the organisms within the rock then yea you can just soak it in a bleach solution, and then use some more fresh water and a dechlorinator to get rid of the bleach. If you just wanna get the detritus out of it but not kill it i would take a real big powerhead and blow it off while it is still in the water.

Ok. And how long do I leave them in the bleach water? Do I dry them out and use them or do I have a time limited before the can be use again?

im not entirely positive on that but if you google cooking live rock you should find out, thats what its called
