Selling here - more and more issues

Hello everyone!
I am raising this issue again. There are a lot of reefers here who sell and buy stock frequently and I'm curious if other have the same experience and if so what should be done about this.
Here are a few examples of what I experienced in the last months:
1. A guy is responding to my sell thread by PM telling me he is a few blocks from me and wants to come over in about 30 minutes to buy 2-3 items. After giving him my address and cell# I never heard from him again .
2. A guy is contacting me by PM with item # he is interested in. I respond with a question, when he wants to pick it up. Same - no response after that.
3. A potential buyer is asking me for my address and cell # for a faster communication. Never heard from him again.
4. A buyer is asking me to hold and item till tomorrow. He will come at 6 pm. Next day he is PM me with an excuse asking me for another day. Next day another excuse and another request for extension, then no response, no PM's.
5. A reefer pays with PayPal, asking to hold it. After a week of waiting and 1 PM exchange no response at all. (I already refunded him and sold the item to someone else)

I assume there are some people here, who are not responsible, do not care and have no decency to send a short PM if they change their mind. I have to say I have tons of great experience with many of you guys and I know not everybody is like this.
Should we be more specific when we rate someone and not to be afraid to leave a negative rating if someone behave in the way described above?

I would appreciate a short discussion on this subject. Thanks.

In my PERSONAL opinion, I think you should call them out and even give a negative reefer rating... HOWEVER, be prepared for them to argue that the problem was you (not them), and also leave you a negative rating.

In all those cases these were not my fault but I understand that the rating system will accept anything.

Maybe there should be a poll rating as far as reefer ratings go. Let the community or the moderators relegate what's right and what's not. I got blasted on my reefer rating for something that totally wasn't my fault. A guy and I agreed on a transaction. I told the guy I would call when I was leaving. Guy decided to leave anyway without hearing from me. Then guy gets upset cause I couldn't make it when I told him I would let him know when I was leaving. So how is it my fault the seller decided on his own to leave without hearing from me the buyer?

What you're describing is a normal thing. People are used to amazon and craigeslist and click and buy. I get plenty of those, but I don't consider them serious buyers until they make an appointment with me then actually call me a few hours beforehand to confirm that they are actually coming over.


I may have 3 or more people all saying they want my frag pack.
So what I do is to have them paypal to hold and setup an appointment,. they are committed to showing up then. Otherwise its first come first serve and I set the same time frame for all of them.

As I described, even paypal is no guarantee. I don't care usually about making money. My tank is small and I want the frags out. So I had this guy who paid thru paypal and didn't pick it up for 2 weeks!

Tony unfortunately even if u have all the prove to show that u kept ur end of the deal and leave a bad reefer rating the other person can do the same and "cant be deleted without that member permission"
In my case i got 100% so i really wouldnt like to have less then that just because a looser cant handle the truth.
Calling them out unfortunately will get ur post deleted and mayb a pm from a MOD so is really not much to do then to build ur own "red list" and simply dont deal with those members anymore.

I was talking to a very good friend of mine and we think "bad reefer ratings" SHOULD be "pending moderation". No instantly put in ur ratings. That way people that are actually at fault can NOT simply leave u 1 because u did it first
I think is a very fair way to do it.

Good point and good idea. I don't know however if the Mods want to be involved in this.

I actually contacted 1 of the mods with very similar issue thats how i find out that if some1 leaves u a bad rating they will need that some1 permision to deleted. Even if u can prove it wasnt ur fault.
So the "reefer rating" is not that fair if u ask me.
I think they should at least consider that idea. Wouldn't hurt to spend a few minutes considering this.

Absolutely 100% all refer ratings should be cleared through the process of moderators review , I would actually like to see how that would work , I would sign up to review and clear the ratings myself simply to strengthen the foundation of the reefer rating which is here for our piece of mind and trade system integrity ! Why have a reefer rating if it's full of false accusations and invalid claims ????.

I am all for a newly structured refer rating process and would volunteer my own time to increase the rating systems quality and accuracy.

Getting a bad reefer rating isn't the worst thing in the world. Arnoldo you have 82 positive ratings. It will make no difference if you have 1 bad rating. I am sure everyone will still do business with you. You shouldn't let the fear of getting a bad rating stop you from leaving a bad rating.

It is best for mods not to get involved with this stuff. I can only image how many threads will get started about mods playing favorites.

What bothers me is that I atleast have the decency to provide pictures even if it's free!..this site should come equipped with a flake list instead of a reefer rating..I stopped selling on here due to the amount of flakes...and yes I understand this is a hobby and life issues get in the way of completing a sale but keep in mind it works both ways and the buyer or seller on the other end is effected by the lack of commitment

Well then like I said if the moderators don't want to regulate let us as a community do it then. It doesn't matter how many good ratings anyone has all everyone remembers and sees are the negative.
How fair is it when someone gives you a bad rating so to get back at them you give them a bad rating?
For this same reason a lot of people don't give a damn about reefer ratings. Everyone here has had a bad experience one time or another and just go oh well amd didn't give a rating.

It's still a blemish considering all the time we put into driving , gas , time, and lowballers that pull stunts inside your own home !!!

Brother ratings dont mean anything if is not fair.
Example: i can leave u 1 right now u will complain but "they need my permission" to deleted. How fair is that??
And Why should my name has 1 bad rating when i been straight up honest with my deals?? Sure 1 is not much but why??
