Long Island fish ID juvenile please

ID please, caught this 1 inch guy in my bait net on a south shore fishing pier.
The only distinguishing thing I can say is the tail fin is round, like a guppy, not forked and it has a spiky first dorsal fin

thanks, not a juvenile, there was no way I was going to figure that out on the web.
Well, lets see how he does in the reef. Looks safe enough, like a carnivore

They dont get very big.
