I have had a rose bubble tip anemone for about a year. It has never moved it always opens up full and beautiful but if I knew over the past year it was going to turn into four I may have tought twice about adding it
I would sell them but its hard to get them unless I pull the rocks and don't want to re do them. Plus every time you move stuff you break something else lol but that's how it goes. I'm gonna try to get em to move onto a disk
My RBTA has been doing the same thing. I just get lucky they're all staying within the same rock. I have a total of 4 now. Some of them moved to the glass right after splitting and that's when I would catch them... I must have given away around 5 of them already!
ok so I just went home and pulled the rock that had two of them together and get them off. So ill have to start a new thread to sell them although I may give one to a friend
Alot of times they split due to changes or condition that are not optimal to them. It may be slight change in salinity or ph or some levels.
Do you use RO water? Any leather corals in the tank?
Splitting is response to survival, the odds of survival are better if your two then one. Some RBTAs i have had for years never split. Even ones i have had that are from Splits dont split.
