I've been away from my tank for a couple months and had someone watching over it. There were always alot of those tiny spiral worms (forgot the name) on the outside of my overflow box. They look like white dots and are hard to scrape off.

Now there are hundreds of these snail/tube worm looking things in the inside of the overflow. They are much larger than the spiral worms on the outside of the overflow box and are easy to remove from the glass. I'm curious if anyone can identify them. I'm assuming they're a filter feeder and are harmless to the tank but I want to be sure.

Can it be snails that recently hatched? I have nerite, cerith, turbo, astreae and nassarius snails in my tank. I see strands of snail eggs every now and again but have never noticed any of them hatch.

Thanks
