Max reef

Does anyone know where max reefs new store is and when will it be open?

It's in the Bronx, see the link below. It's open but just has fish and inverts, as they're waiting on the lights to be installed over the coral tanks. Right now it's lightly stocked, most of the fish are what they had at the Yonkers store, but I'm sure it will be fully stock within the week. It's a pretty big place, which lots and lots of tanks.

It has been recently suggeted to contact Max Reef to have an acrlyic reef tank made. Has anyone had a tank made dfrom them and how is the quality?

Yonkers store is closed. All they fish are at new location in Bronx. The only thing still at Yonkers are corals. Waiting on new lights at new store.

It was a last minutes decision I was told... but looking at store of late without a new sign and not that stock the end was near..

IMO, it's the right decision... Having double rent/employees/expenses would be a waste, especially since the same customers would travel to either ... or both!

I was over there yesterday and the place in coming along can't wait for it to be up and running it's going to be a nice set up good luck guys.

I'll probably go but no where near as often as I did befor. used to go two times a week most weeks. its not crazy far but just enough to be a pain in the arse.

I used to go once a week but never really needed fish. But like to see if something unusual came in. Not much more to travel but still go maybe twice a month and hope I to see more rare stuff. Lately I'm only looking for rare stuff and only see them online.

Haven't been to the new store yet but will stop by tomorrow. If the Yonkers store closes I would be disappointed since its way closer than the bx to me but my happiness doesn't pay Ralph's rent or his staff so....a trip to the bx it is.

But Pat, if there's something you see online I'm sure Ralph can get it if you ask.
