Hey all,

I want to start gluing frags to rock sick of them always being knocked over and etc.. Was wondering which reef glue you use before I purchase anything. Please let me know what you use. Thank you.

The best way I've found is this.

First I clip the stem off the frag plug and put some glue on the bottom. I prepare some epoxy and press that into the glue, then i put some more glue on the epoxy and smush it onto my rock. Holds very nicely this way and easy to take off later if needed.

+1 this works good, i do the same with instant ocean epoxy and IC gel glue.

I use any gel based cyanoacrylate glue that is the cheapest available when I am looking to pick some up. I also use epoxy.

Sometimes you can get away with just using the gel glue to attach your frags. Sometimes the weight of the frag, angle/shape of rock make using only glue difficult if not impossible. In those instances I use both the glue and epoxy. Glue epoxy to bottom of coral or frag plug, then put some more glue on epoxy and stick it onto rock.

Super glue really? That's safe?

I don't think it caused any problems in my tank. Do a search superglue and reefs a lot will show up. Normal superglue has a low viscosity and sucks to work with. The gel version is great. I put a drop on the frag let it dry for a few seconds out of water them put it were I want.

The loctite superglue comes in a cool container which is easy to work with.
