Hmm.. I'll take a stab.. Is it possible the flow rates are different? Is it possible that you have more resistance on one side of the tank than the other meaning maybe power heads push more water towards one side. Is the tank level? Only things I can think of.

i have 4 tunze 6105s, 2 on each side on a controller that alternates flow from side to side every 1/2 hour so i don't think its that. tank is level maybe 1/8 off.
i was all so thinking the resistance in the longer drain. its not a problem just curiosity.

Yea like I said I'll give it stab haha. Was hoping more would chime in lol. I actually had to stop using filter socks for the moment. I have a Eshops filter sock holder. My sock start foaming up out of the top of the sock no mater if they are clean or dirty for some reason. I have the filter sock holder mounted in the corner of the sump and it spills over the side of the sump cause of the foaming. So I will have to re-plumb and move the holder over some I guess so this doesn't happen or just not use filter socks and have to clean my sump out more. Or just mod the holder and silicone it inside the sump down some so it cant overflow over.

Thats wierd the eshopps filter sock holder i have hangs the sock inside the sump. Pics maybe? Try giving the socks a good rinse in ro/di for a day or two.

As far as the op's issue is the water level the same in both overflows? The extra run for the fuge could definitely add resistance and be part of the equation.

Yea mine hangs inside the sump as well but since I have it mounted in the corner when it foams up it seeps under the acrylic and spills over the side. I do soak them in RO before use but not for a few days.. I think it was just a bad placement of the filter sock holder. I think I need to shift it over so if it does foam it can just spill back into the sump and not push against the sides of the sump. Not trying to hi-jack your thread sorry.

i don't use a holder, i made an S hook out of acrylic and hang the sock a few inches in the sump. this way it can't overflow.
