Im curious to see what yall have on an automatic doser besides Alk & Cal? Especially for those that have a reef setup.

I have a bubble magus pump and use the third pump to dose vinegar

I was thinking about dosing iodine but the brightwell products states that you have to shake the bottle before dosing.

how many ml's per day do you dose the kalk?
I still have my kalk in the box. Havent gotten around to start dosing it yet

ok cool, question I have a water volume of 240g. How much kalk would you recommend for me to start out with?

if you're not dosing 2 part or running a reactor, the GHL is not the best option for dosing Kalk. The pump is too slow and will probably wear quickly if you're dosing 1/2gal-1gal or more daily. You will need a lot of kalk to keep up with a 240 stocked with hard coral. Most guys run kalk reactors or top off with kalk.

He's dosing 2 part so that would be the primary I think..looking for use for third pump. So kalk there would just be extra...

im dosing 2 part. Its not heavily stock yet as im only dosing about 40ml of alk.

Oh, in that case I would start with 100ml and take it from there. Dosing 350ml of kalk with 3ml vinegar per gallon daily lower my 2 part consumption around 30ml daily of each part. PH also runs a little higher.

Jackson, 3ml of vinegar, one gallon of water, how much kalk? Just till its fully saturated?
