Question About 3 Day Blackout For Red Slime

For those of you who have tried the three blackout to get rid of red slime, did the red slime come back? If it did how soon after? I may try it in the near future if I haven't starved out my red slime by then.

I tried it and it came back, but that was expected. I waited one month after first black out and tried it again. After second time the red slime has remained under control with only small patches.

I got rid of mine permanently by taking as much out and increasing flow in that area. Been 6 months free of algea

Word!!! Gotta keep everything airborne and let the skimmer pull it out!
